Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was a student for three year in the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. Lennox was able to survive on an allowance for students as well as working part-time to help supplement her income. Lennox as she was studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied with her performance in comparison to the other students. She started to think about alternatives. Lennox performed flute in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. She left the band when the band was featured to I.T.V.s talent show New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist for The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. It was here that she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Lennox then began to work on her first solo album Diva that was out around 1992. The album had a tremendous success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top jazz, blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut self-produced album as well as a follow-up to her art work designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you Go... Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954, in Scotland, is a philanthropist as well as a an activist in the political arena. She also sings. The latter part of the 70s was when she gained a little fame when part the group known as The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. Lennox's debut album in 1992 Diva produced many successful songs, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa a studio album released in 1995, has the versions of a few of her best-loved songs, including No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale).
